Treaties: 

This module examines Indigenous perspectives of treaty making and the reconciliation teaching found in the Two Row Wampum Belt. We will also examine the various types of treaties in Canada and their relevance to this day. 

Learning Objectives: 

• Learn about Treaties and the reconciliation teachings found in the Wampum treaty belt.

• Explore the origins and importance of treaty-making for Indigenous Peoples

• Identify the relevance of upholding of treaties to this day

• Understand that Canada was built on the influence of three Nations : Indigenous, French and English.
