If Indigenous people were hired at the same rate, and if we were allowed to achieve the same level of education that you have on Main Street, we would be helping to contribute $27.7 billion dollars to Canada’s economy.
-Economic Reconciliation

4 Seasons of Reconciliation offers a concise primer on the truths and implications of the historical and contemporary relationship between Indigenous peoples and those who settled on their lands in Canada.
It does this by providing the foundational knowledge on truth and reconciliation that nearly all Canadians missed during their education journey.
This learning is in direct response to the 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada and the importance of educating all Canadians in workplaces and classrooms.
In addition to our flagship course, 4 Seasons of Reconciliation, we offer Season 2: Learning From the Land for educators. This course was built in collaboration with the Outdoor Learning School & Store and Natural Curiosity.
Featuring the award-winning documentary Waniska, these reflective learning modules (5 hours) aim to support you in strengthening your personal connections with the local Land as a way to better understand and appreciate local Indigenous knowledge, perspectives, culture and history. Learn and share best practices for bringing this knowledge and experience into the classroom or to share with others. Complete the printable personal reflection journal as you progress, and access additional content via the Outdoor Learning School's past speaker series library.
Purchases of this eLearning support the Outdoor Learning School & Store, and their Indigenous learning initiatives.

I appreciate that this is foundational knowledge that everyone should have. Everyone. This is the first step in unlearning the narrow viewpoints and narratives our colonial systems have taught us.
In this way, we can learn to be better relatives and have honourable relationships with the people and land.
