With over 25 years of experience in education and business, Reila brings a unique two-eyed seeing perspective, blending Indigenous knowledge and advocacy with practical business development skills. Her career includes roles such as:

K-12 School Teacher – building strong foundations in Indigenous education. 
- 
Indigenous Education Consultant – supporting local and national organizations. 
- 
Post-Secondary Instructor – teaching Indigenous studies and relations. 
- 
Director, First Nations University of Canada’s Indigenous Continuing Education Centre – where she established business plans, strategy, and custom education programs. 
- 
Co-owner and Chief Operations Officer of an asphalt paving company – serving Regina, Saskatchewan and surrounding area.
