Finance & Onboarding Process – FAQ
What is a quote?
A quote is a pricing document outlining the licensing options available to your organization.
For seat-based licenses, we typically provide one quote.
For multi-year licenses, we may provide multiple quotes so you can compare pricing options.
Please review the entire quote, as applicable discounts or multi-year savings are often reflected at the bottom. The net amount after discounts is the amount your organization will be invoiced.
How is an invoice related to a quote?
Once you approve the quote, we convert (“flip”) the quote into an invoice.
The invoice reflects the final agreed price, and this is the document used for payment processing.
Starting the Licensing Process
What are the steps to begin licensing the course?
We provide a quote (or multiple quotes). Once you confirm your preferred option, we begin the invoicing and contract phase.
How do we approve a quote?
You may approve the quote:
Via the approval link included with the quote, or
By confirming your acceptance in writing via email
Once approved, we issue the invoice and send the contract for signature.
What happens after the quote is approved?
After approval:
We issue the invoice
We send the license agreement/contract for signature
Do we need to send vendor onboarding documents?
Yes. If your organization requires vendor onboarding forms or supplier registration, please share them at this stage.
Please also provide EFT/Direct Deposit details, as this is our preferred payment method.
Delivery & Technical Setup
How will the course be delivered? (Hosted access vs. SCORM)
You may choose:
Hosted Access (Reconciliation Education hosts the learning platform and enrolls your learners), or
SCORM File Delivery (Your organization uploads the course to your internal LMS)
If SCORM is chosen:
We provide the SCORM package
Your LMS team completes the upload
Your team manages learner enrollment/assignments within your LMS
If hosted access is chosen, our Client Services Team manages enrollment and learner support.
License Duration & Learner Access
How long is the license valid, and how does learner access work?
Your organization receives a 1-year license window (e.g., Jan 1, 2025 – Dec 31, 2025) to enroll learners.
Once enrolled, each learner receives 365 days of access from their individual enrollment date, not the purchase date.
If access needs to be extended beyond the license period, extensions can be arranged at an additional cost.
Seat Usage & Reallocation
Can seats be reassigned if a learner leaves or does not complete the course?
Seats may be reallocated only if the learner has 0% progress.
If a learner has started the course (any progress > 0%), the seat is considered used and cannot be reassigned.
If a learner is removed but had begun the course, the seat cannot be reused.
Learners with 0% progress may be removed and replaced at no cost.
Onboarding Support
When does onboarding begin?
Onboarding begins after the contract is signed and the invoice is approved for processing.
At this stage, our Client Services Team will:
Assist with customizing the course experience
Onboard administrators
Support learner enrollment and rollout planning
Who supports us during onboarding and rollout?
Our Client Services Team will guide you every step of the way and act as your ongoing support contact.

What is the 4 Seasons of Reconciliation course?
This acclaimed multimedia course provides a basic, 101 foundational knowledge of truth and reconciliation that nearly all Canadians missed during their education journey, and is intended for Indigenous and non-Indigenous learners. The course shines a bright light on the contributions of Indigenous peoples, debunks myths, stereotypes and racism while meeting the Calls to Action in the workplace from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC).
The 4 Seasons of Reconciliation is a direct response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) of Canada’s 94 Calls to Action. The goal of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission is to begin the process of righting the wrongs committed against Indigenous peoples across Canada—something in which all Canadians are called upon to participate.
4 Seasons of Reconciliation promotes a renewed relationship between Indigenous peoples and Canadians, through transformative and engaging learning towards anti-racism education. This initiative assists the workplace and education organizations to provide diversity and inclusion awareness through self-paced online courses featuring award-winning films, slideshows, videos, quizzes and a completion certificate.
This award-winning resource assists the workplace and education sectors in meeting the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action and has reached over 120,000 Canadians from across the country.
What can I expect from the ‘4 Seasons’ course?
With this 3-hour, multimedia course, members of the community can learn about the history and culture of Indigenous communities in Canada, the history of residential schools, and treaties around the country. The course is interactive and illuminative, designed to begin dismantling the colonial point of view taught in Canadian educational institutions and start the long journey toward reconciliation.
Who is this course for?
4 Seasons of Reconciliation's Reconciliation Education proudly teams up with community organizations such as library systems, nonprofit organizations, government organizations, and more to bring accessible accountability to the people.
You do not need to be Indigenous to learn about reconciliation or engage in it - and that includes this course. We invite Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to learn with us and start or continue their reconciliation journeys.

Upgraded visuals. New portal, new look! We've refreshed the entire course to match the clean visuals of our new portal. ... and so much more! Join the learning journey in our new portal to see and benefit from other upgrades across the site.
Is this course offered in French?
We offer French and English courses whether you purchase a SCORM package or choose to use our LMS.
In the new course portal, each learner can select the language they would like to see the site in. Currently, our site supports English and French.
Please note that changing your Language Preference does not change the language of the course content, only the website. Learners will still need to be registered for either a French or English course, regardless of their Language Preference.
How long is the course? Does the course track your progress, or do you have to complete it in one sitting?
Yes, the course tracks progress. Learner completion times vary based on the number of sessions, depth of interaction, reading speed, and comprehension of each individual learner. You can complete the course in as many sessions or sittings as you like, but you should expect to set aside about 3 total hours to complete the ‘4 Seasons of Reconciliation’ course.
How long do learners have to take the course?
This depends on your license terms. For one-year licenses, your learners have 365 days to complete the course. Once registered, learners have 365 days from that date to complete the course. So, if your last learner was registered 5 days from the end of your contract, we still give those 365 days to the learner to complete the course.
Do you offer any bonus content after the course?
The Bonus Library available to all learners includes the full Reconciliation documentary series, as well as videos on topics of interest from throughout the course.
If you are taking a version of the 4 Seasons of Reconciliation that is hosted on your organization's learning portal, you can access the Bonus Library in the last Module of the course.
If you are taking the course directly from Reconciliation Education (your course is hosted on reconciliationeducation.docebosaas.com), you can access the Bonus Library any time by using the Bonus Library button on Your Dashboard.
Does your LMS track progress and completion, and how do I get these reports?
For courses hosted on our new portal (reconciliationeducation.docebosaas.com), your license includes one or more Power User profiles. Read more here about choosing your Power User. Once you've selected your Power User, email the Reconciliation Education team to have your Power User permissions activated. When you're ready, begin reporting.
Why should I book a call?
Respecting your valuable time, our team will not walk you through a monologue cookie-cutter presentation. Instead, we will customize our presentation based on your areas of interest and priority to explore during our time together. Our presentation will focus on your agenda items and wrap-up by preparing a few curated items to add to your follow-up review. Learn how to participate in a free evaluation of our resources and see how we customize according to sector, region or for specific groups of learners: executives / public-facing employees etc.
What is your process to start offering this course at our organization?
After we provide the quote and you approve it, our team will issue an invoice along with a license agreement. Upon receipt of the signed agreement and payment confirmation, our learning support team will begin configuring your course on either our LMS or creating a SCORM package for your internal LMS.
Can I register my own learners?
Using our LMS's (Learning Management System, course portal) automation features, Reconciliation Education can provide you the ability to directly enroll and control the flow of your learners. This requires a meeting with a Reconciliation Education technician to set up and train you on the system, but the result is that you are able to enroll your own learners directly to the course and draw reports without ever contacting the Reconciliation Education team.
How it works: You'll work with a Reconciliation Education LMS technician to set up your custom enrollment automation. You will have a 15-30 minute virtual meeting with a technician who will demonstrate the process for enrolling your own learners. Essentially, you will continue completing the 3-column template, but instead of sending it to the Reconciliation Education team, you will interact with the LMS directly to register your learners.
